Guest guest
thanks Suze, one paragraph in particular caught my attention -- <<The gut is, in fact, a major immune organ, containing more immune cells than the rest of the body combined. The enteric nervous system interacts intimately with the immune system, and can affect mood and behaviour by signaling the central nervous system. >> --- having recovered from two major auto-immune 'diseases' by nutritional interventions and even overcome [mostly] fear of flying since giving up gluten [guess Heidi must be cheering -] it seems the importance of proper nutrition cannot be over-emphasised... still most people don't want to know... sigh... Dedy gut brain, was Panic attack >>>> ----->here's a few articles on the gut brain: Gut Thoughts http://news.bmn.com/hmsbeagle/119/notes/feature1 >>>Hi Suze, this article requires loging-in etc.... is it poss. to get a link directly to the article? ----->hi dedy, that link takes me directly to the article, so i guess it only works for those who've registered. however, i found it on another site that doesn't require registration. http://www.kiwiterapi.dk/whiplash/frames/gutthoughts.htm Suze Fisher

Guest guest
Oh... didn't say I LIKE flying LOL... but no more panic attacks... 'sniffing' on incense essential oil helps too as it slows breathing down considerably and must therefore affect the hyperventilation panic attacks cause. Guest guest
That's interesting. When I was a kid I always had a hankerchief with some perfume on it, and I would sniff it ... I keep a bottle of my favorite on my desk and it's my fallback if I get stressed. We burn candles too ... (not recommended in buildings with smoke detectors or security guards!). -- Heidi >Oh... didn't say I LIKE flying LOL... but no more panic attacks...
