Yes it is indeed possible that the family migrated related to the Goldrush...

We can trace back to when a Mr. Kiler and family moved and bought a ranch in

Paso Robles, where the current kiler Canyon Road is named for them, and you can

find a winery in my family name, named for the road:

Interesting, . I go wine tasting in Paso (there I go again... shorting

the word) once in a while. I live in Santa Cruz county and I like to make

wine, as well.

Are you living in that area? It is beautiful there.
