Guest guest
Del, What recipes do you have with making a snack with cheese? I don't have a source for raw cheese right now anyway, but it would be nice to make some snacks for my family once in awhile. Here's what I've found so far on the internet about this: What is Paprika Oleoresin? Paprika Oleoresin is a natural food colorant used to obtain a deep red colour in any food that has a liquid/fat phase. It is derived from the liquid extract of the fruit of genus Capsicum Annum L, obtained by extraction with hexane. The oleoresin is a slightly viscous, homogenous red liquid with good flow properties at room temperature Ingredients: Selected paprika extract and vegetable oil. OLEORESIN PAPRIKA (HOT SPICE EXTRACTS) DESCRIPTION Obtained by solvent extraction of the dried pods of capsicum annuum L. (Family: Solanaceae), followed by removal of pungent principles. Additive(optional) : Refined sunflower oil Did you look up oleoresin? Isn't that one of those new fangled oils. Something to stay away from! I don't think I would want to eat it even if it didn't have oleoresin in it. I think there are recipes where you can just put slices of cheese in the oven and bake and get a better product. ~Del
