Guest guest
Hi all I've just got the go-ahead to write an article about natural perfumery for a New Zealand magazine, and am looking for some advice. The article is aimed at consumers. While the vast majority of it will discuss and promote natural perfumes, there will be a small section that talks about some of the mainstream, synthetic perfumes which nonetheless contain a higher quantity of genuine naturals than most others on the mainstream market. (If there still are some??!!) My understanding has been that some perfume houses such as Guerlain and Creed tend to use a higher percentage of naturals than other houses. Would this be correct? And if so, what would be any other perfume houses that also do? And which mainstream, non-natural perfume houses do natural perfumers prefer, if they ever use non-natural perfumes? I have heard several people on this list talk about their feelings for Guerlain. I'm wondering also about Creed. Any others? I'm sorry to bring non-naturals into the list conversation, and hope this isn't off-topic. From my point of view this is firmly in the context of encouraging the wider public to think about natural perfumes, and is setting the stage for talking extensively in the article about wholly natural perfumes. Thanks very, very much for any help and advice. Best wishes Johanna
