Guest guest
Hi Tracey, I appreciate your reply and I also appreciate what you have learned about yourself. However, the point that I am trying to make is that we are all different. Your beliefs about sugar and Chinese medicine are your beliefs and based on your own experience. There is a large body of opinion about sugar being bad for " well " people let alone PWCFS, ME and FM. I am well aware of this and all the other standard " bad " things. We are all adults and can look at the evidence, judge our own experiences and make up our own minds. My experience is that excluding things from my diet make very little difference to my M.E. Being chronically ill for a very long time is miserable enough without enforcing dietary rules that offer us no benefit in return. I don't have any belief in Chinese medicine (been there done that and had the debts to prove it) but if I works for you, wonderful and stick at it. Pls don't assume that we all share your beliefs or what works for you will work for all. Kindest regards, Annette __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi Annette, I can see I've really hit a nerve on here with my comment about ice-cream. If you want to eat it, you should eat it. I don't always agree with everything everybody says about diet either and do eat what I feel works for me. Ice-cream is not a health food. It is a junk food. I have been told that it's one of the worst foods for pwcs in particular. I'm cool with agreeing to disagree about whether it's bad for us in particular or not. I'm not into trying to convince anybody of anything. Just sharing what I've learned.
