Guest guest
Hi ALL, I seem to remember that board had decided that we can't prescribe magnet therapy and I've been skeptical of the claims that various manufacturers make, but I thought I would relate a converation I had with a local MD last week. He was in a hunting accident and had his lower leg shot from a 12 gauge from about 12 " . Long story short he lost his fibula and was in danger losing the complete lower leg. In desperation, he decided to try magnet therapy as a last ditch effort and lo and behold the remaining tibial periosteum began to heal. A few years later and he's still got the leg though with a pronounced limp. I currently have a patient that has a floating costal/cartilageous break that isn't healing. Beyond " doctor time " and light kinesio taping, I'm at a loss as to what else might help. Can anyone make a recommendation on or offline where I might send her for a rib belt with magnets? Thanks, Mealey, DC
