Guest guest Posted October 20, 2007 Report Share Posted October 20, 2007 thank u all for your messeges of support they mean alot to us!! as in answer to vickys question is zaks school an autistic school the answer is no its a special needs school they do have a class especially 4 autism but zaks not in that class ( why i really dont know) and to b honest im fighting every other corner at the moment so really dont have the time to push for this , i would do if zak wasnt responding so well in the class hes in , and also zaks teacher is wonderful and now works along side me and if i push 4 this i run the risk of a new teacher whom again i have to convince i know whats best 4 my son lol its such a mountain we all have to climb lol ( wish id of known at the beginning how high the mountain would b as id of brought some deacent climbing boots lol)!!!! now i need some advice we are doing so well in all areas but 1 area zak cannot let go of is the spinning ( he spins objects not himself) his fav is the washing machine!! hes done this since he was 2 years old so now we think it might b more habit than stim although when he is spinning things or watchin something spin the old traits come back like eyes in the top of the head the noises etc , any ideas will b gladly recieved, also is it best to take aways all spinnig things ie toys and that (cold turkey lol) or gradually? lots of love nikki and zak xxxxxx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
