Guest guest
http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct/show/NCT00409747;jsessionid=6F45BCB9267A331EBEC6FE4\ F6B08815B?order=3 This is the study which is recruiting now which will test minocycline on the inflamed brains. If you stick minocycline into Google it is an antibiotic which for some reason no one understands also reduces inflammation. another really interesting way to research this is to put Tumour Necrosis Factor Alpha and autism into Google. TNFalpha is an inflammatory cytokine. It's not the one Hopkins found but it is found causing trouble inappropriately in all sorts of places in autism. It is also found in Crohn's where they use soluble heparin and infliximab (very new and expensive) to deal with it. These are now the standard treatments for Crohn's and they work.
