Guest guest
Hi , The NT-3 study was done several years ago. NT-3 is a type of nerve growth factor. The first human trials proved that NT-3 can help persons with CMT 1A. Look in our Files for info on it. I'm so happy to hear you're still riding Good exercise and nothing like a horse for a friend Good horse book for you, (you too Liz,) " Chosen By A Horse " by s. About how an adopted horse helps a woman with her illness. No, CMT isn't " progressive " in the same sense ALS is at all. Hey, these days I am grateful for just having CMT, because one of my neighbor soccer Mom's, age 45, was diagnosed with ALS in Feb of this year and watching her wickedly fast " progression " has been quite a shocking, learning experience. Now she cannot be left alone because of falling, has also stopped driving, has gone from use of a cane to wheelchair to powerchair in 2 months. OK, so 'clumsy' me dropped a bunch of apple slices on the kitchen floor tonight - hey, that's CMT. But it doesn't bother me, that's just a CMT 'thing' - lol, and my dog was real happy too ~ Gretchen
