Guest guest
Someone please tell me to relax....and that what I'm doing is right. I have about 10 pounds of fat to lose. The scale hasn't budged much. Measurements are going down which is great! So I'm on week 7 right now. I will be taking week 8 pictures at the end of next week. So I tried to elicit a faster response from my body by attempting a carb cycle Well day 2 of the low carb day, made me prone to a small binge, not even a binge, just a loss of control that started at a party last night with a couple small appetizers that weren't off limits but they weren't on my " low carb day " plan. Not to mention, I was a little cranky and decided it's not worth it so today I came to my senses and went back to my normal eating. So my frustrion is this, I read so much stuff, one says a carb cycle helps things move along faster, another says they eat a higher amount of calories of high quality food and still are getting lean, but then I read something else that tells me I need to create a caloric deficit. I'm 5 ft tall, I realize the 10 pounds of fat is not going to come off easy b/c I am small to begin with but DAMN!! Not to mention the progress seemed to be a lot faster with the last challenge I did and this one is much diffrent but I'm working harder, lifting heavier and eating better! Why am I not shrinking faster!?? It's not that the measurements are not moving, that makes me happy, it's that I'm impatient. My meals consist of : 1 - 2 TBS oats, 25 raisins, butter pat, cinnamon, splenda and 1/4 c cottage cheese 2. 1/4 c cottage cheese, 1/2 pinapple ring, 1/2 mandarin oranges, 5 macadamia nuts (got that from Skwigg). 3 - chicken salad with real mayo, 1 sl whole grain bread or 1/2 flax/oat pita - 10 oz protein shake. 4 - Skyr or Fage yogurt with 1.5 splenda packet or 1 TBS sugar free syrup - 3-5 strawberries. 5 - Dinner which is usually meat and veg or an omelet if I'm too lazy to think about what I'm gonna eat. Sometimes meal 3 is 1 cup of veg/beef soup with a protein, or 1 cup Progresso chicken noodle with a protein. With cheat day, the average cals per week comes up to about 1350-1400. Is that too much for someone so short? I could eat less than that but why should I??? I already tried the carb cycle thing and I can see already it would make me prone to a binge and just set me back. I used to take a full cheat day but changed that to about 2 cheat meals a week. i.e. cookies on a friday night and then some sub or dinner or sweets or chips that I want on a Sunday. My before pictures and 4 week pictures show a difference and I'm sure my 8 weeks will show an even better difference. Maybe I'm just overly-impatient! I JUST WANT THINGS TO STOP JIGGLING!! lol I did read the 4 week freakout on Skwigg's site...yep....it DOES happen again around week 8 or 9! lol Liza --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
