Guest guest
If you have an NHS test that shows the presence of yeast, then I'd aggressively push the Docs to prescribe an anti-fungal. If you clear out the bacteria, then you'll only leave space for the yeast to grow. It's not unusual for people to develop thrush (a yeast infection) after a course of antibiotics and many GPs will prescribe something at that point. Bit late in the day and you don't want to get to that point, so insist on the antifungal up front. Flagyl - metronidazole will clear a huge range of bacteria. We've used it as an oral agent, but never as a suppository. I'm just guessing, but they've probably chosen the supository form because of where on the body the bacteria and yeast showed up. As for all the natural-herbal mix - they don't work 100%. Even prescription meds won't work 100%. It's a constant battle. Keep trying new ones. Oil of Oregano, OLE, Caprylic acid, Berberine, Undecylnic acid, etc. Keep rotating them. Oxypowder was a huge help for us as well. Didn't help him cognitively, but took away a huge amount of pain arising from a combination of constipation and yeast infections. Hope this helps.
