Tessie,

I am not certain which articles you mean. Can you please give me the

exact titles and if I posted them as abstracts, can you please give me

the post number. Then I can find them and upload.

Have you seen the article on CMTX and MS? That is already in our

Files, just look in the X Folder, click to open. Article is in pdf

format.

Tessie, hi

This article titled " The CNS phenotype of X-linked Charcot-Marie-

Tooth disease: More than a peripheral problem " by et al. is

from Neurology 2003;61:1475-1478. It is only available in Full Text

Version which you can get a one time use (save to your computer) for

$20.00 or you can get a subscription online for the journal. No

Abstract is available for this one.

http://www.neurology.org/cgi/content/full/61/11/1475

Below is the only one on CMT X and the peroneal muscle I could find,

going as far back to 1989. The Abstract is in English, but the Full

Text is in Chinese.

Zhonghua Shen Jing Jing Shen Ke Za Zhi. 1989 Jun;22(3):139-40, 190.

[X-linked recessively inherited peroneal muscular atrophy]

[Article in Chinese]

Wang DS.

This article presents a pedigree of 80 members of which there are 13

patients (13 males) with peroneal muscular atrophy. The analysis of

this pedigree shows that an affected male married to a normal female

will have normal son(s) and carrier-daughter(s). The normal son(s)

will have normal offspring, but half the sons of the carrier-daughter

(s) will be affected. The pathogenic genes of affected males are

transmitted to their daughters, but not to their sons. So this

inheritance is of X-linked recessive type. This is the first report

of X-linked recessively inherited peroneal muscular atrophy in china

Perhaps Rita will share her Full Text articles with you and ,

then I can put in the " CMT X " File.
