Guest guest
I wanted to ask about other parents' experiences of using (Cenaverde) transdermal MB12 drops. Our (non-verbal) son is 4 1/2 and we have been doing MB12 injections every 3rd night for 9 months now without noticing any improvement. We are with Muscroft and Dr Heard; would like us to do nightly shots, but Dr H says that's pointless because the dosage should last 3 nights. Dr H also says there's no point using the td drops because they don't work. He wants us to just continue as we are ie. every 3rd night; to us that makes no sense given it seems to be doing nothing for our son. Equally we're not very keen on Jean's suggestion (nightly jabs) because we don't really think it's viable long term due to the distress of giving them. On holiday last week we couldn't be bothered giving our son the injections any more; he hasn't had one now for 11 days and we haven't noticed any drop or change in him. I had already bought some Cenaverde drops and was wondering about other parents' experiences: - is the only reason other parents use the drops rather than injections, because the drops are easier - or is it the case that some children have shown improvement with the drops but not with the jabs? - do any parents give both drops and jabs? - do any parents exceed the recommended Cenaverde dose with their child eg. the packet says give every 2-3 nights - do any parents use them nightly? - I think I worked out that for our son's weight the correct dose is 6 drops of the first (smaller) bottle but the box says don't put more than 2 drops on one site: so is the correct thing to put the drops on 3 different sites at a time? - finally does anyone know how long the drops have been around and approx. how many parents are using them? Sorry for so many questions! Many thanks
Guest guest
Hi all. I didn't get any response to this so thought I'd post it again. I'm particularly interested to hear, do any parents use the Cenaverde TD MB12 every night on their child (rather than the every 2-3 nights suggested on the box)? > > I wanted to ask about other parents' experiences of using (Cenaverde) > transdermal MB12 drops. Guest guest
Hi , Sorry I missed your post earlier - we have quite a bit of experience with TD mB12. It is as effective as injections for me :-) Eddie seemed absolutely fine too and we stopped the injections - we later tried an injection and saw no difference HOWEVER we then learnt Eddie overmethylates (we wrote about this in the TA newsletter). We now supplement B12 in different forms and we aren't currently using TDmB12 for Eddie. In the past we used varying amounts of the TDm12 and saw no difference for Eddie. I knocked the bottle over one night and Tim and I had a big dose. I seem to do well on more and have joked I could bath in it :-) Best wishes, Sandy > > > > I wanted to ask about other parents' experiences of using > (Cenaverde) > > transdermal MB12 drops. Guest guest
Hi yes we used to use it every night, no adverse affects with us Lara > > > > I wanted to ask about other parents' experiences of using > (Cenaverde) > > transdermal MB12 drops. Guest guest
Where is the best place to buy this at the moment please? I see that they sell it at Cenaverde. >>>That's what we use and where we get it - its great IMHO. Its very easy to knock the pots over and lose some when applying, most folks I know have done that, seems the only downside from here. I was going to talk to Bernd at the P2P about putting some kind of despensing top on the bottles to save our dosh when we knock it over but sadly was unable to be there at last min - I think I will emial him about it Mandi x
