ripped + dynamic stretch

hiya! i did 'ripped' for the 3rd time today.

here are my final weights. i have to say that i really like this

workout (except for the lousy editing in the warmup with the

dead-rows and the lack of cueing during the final stretch).

- warmup - 11.5 lbsx2

- squats/plie squats - 16.5 lbsx2

was supposed to be 15 lbsx2 but i forgot to take my wrist weights

off -- good thing!

- pushups - on toes... what a short set!

- chest press - 10 lbsx2 ...what a long set! but i asked myself

if i would rather do pushups and chose the presses!

- lying pullovers - 15 lbsx1 lbs

- skullcrushers/tricep press - 9 lbsx2

- lying adductors/abductors - 3 lbsx1 on thigh

- deadlifts with rows - 13 lbsx2... this produced some swearing

at jari... i was feeling these.

- lunges - 13 lbsx2... i changed jari's fast bodyweight lunges to

static lunges with weights.

- biceps - 9 lbsx2

- lateral shoulder raises - 3 lbsx2... also i did them seated,

while i stood the other 2 times i did this workout. seated

seems to make these, and the front delt raises, easier. probably

because you dont have to brace your core so much.

- front delt raises - 2.5 lbsx2

- abs - did the upper crunches and oblique crunches on the ball

after 'ripped' i did 'dynamic stretch' with janis saffell. kind

of an interesting cross between yoga, pilates and stretching.

30 mins. janis looks really great in this workout. but, sadly,

it is done with a voiceover and of course janis' voice isnt

always co-ordinated with her body, nor always explaining what she

is actually doing... so i had to constantly watch the screen...

ugh! im a fan of janis so i keep this dvd, despite the

irritations. also the scenery is beautiful and the workout

itself is great. i dont feel any stiffness or soreness in the

ole bod tonight and know it is because i did that 30 min stretch

Carolyn, those are great weights! And you didn't do much lifting over the

summer....?! Maybe all that housework/yardwork max is paying off. :-)
