Guest guest
To those that have ordered from White Lotus, I am curious....The samples are listed as .05 of an ounce by weight. I realize that different oils weigh different amounts but what is the approximate volume of .05 ounces? .5 ml, 2 ml? Thank you, Jane
Guest guest
..05 ounces by weight is 1.4 grams. If that were water it would be the equivalent of 1.4 cc (ml) but since oils are lighter than water, and I am just guessing here, it is probably somewhere in the area of 1.5 ml. Obviously depends on the specific oil or absolute or oleoresin etc... Some of these things sink in water, and are therefore more dense than water and would be less than 1.4 ml. (If it were OLIVE OIL it would be 1.51 because olive oil weights .92 kg for 1 liter or .92 g for an ml) All that aside, if you are working by weight, as people keep pounding into me... then it is just a bit more than 1.4 g Here is the conversion. 1 ounce = 28.3495231 grams

The volume size will vary, according to the specific gravity of the stuff... Should be roughly 1.5 ml..... So...if one gets 20 drops per ml....or measures with pipettes as I do, making 20 drops per ml...you get about 30 drops per sample...... Hope that helps.... -- W.
