Guest guest
1) Thanks all for all the replys. My mind wasn't thinking bi-lateral but you're right its a possibility. 2) A few more parameters (Male, 33 yo, these readers were taken withme on 50 mg of Inspra) I'm thinking aldo blockade would mess up the readings. I asked them if should go off and no reply. In fact they didn't call me advise meds untill 24 hours before the procedure. Was only told to get off of Metaformin for interaction with contrast. 3) Dr. Grim, I don't have time values, not sure what order they were taken. Assuming that periph 1 is before periph 2 but cant be sure. 4) I'm super upset about them not doing the ATCH. I'm wondering what recourse I have maybe talking with the dean of medicine? Agree, worried that insurance wont pay for this procedure again. 5) Haven't tried Dash, was hoping for a cure instead of a mitigation. The 50 mg of Inspra has decreased bp from 170s to 150s. and raised K from 3.4-3.6. but thats with 3000 mg of potassium cloride (4 caps/day) Thanks again all, Honter Aldo Cort A/C Ratio R sup 35.4 14 2.53 R inf 19.6 8.3 2.36 Left 63 10.7 5.89 periph1 47.3 9.5 4.98 periph2 39.8 8.4 4.74 periph3 29.8 6.8 4.38 Dr Grim comments: 1. R inf sample most likely from liver as aldo very low (it is removed by liver). 2. R Aldo lower than 2 peripherals so may have same problem. 3. I would not take out an adrenal based on these numbers if the goal is to cure your PA. 4. Now you see why we stopped doing AVS without ACTH in the 80s. Have you failed MCBs and DASHing yet to control BP and K? CE Grim MD
