I believe there IS a German CMT group - will look it up for you. As for the influenza vaccination, I personally do not get it. However, here in the US, it IS recommended for people with neuromuscular disorders, so that includes CMT also. I do not get the vaccination because I am very healthy, get enough rest and exercise, and I prefer to simply let my body fight off the 'flu' normally. As for that bird flu, it is all over Europe from my last CDC reports, but hasn't come hard to the US yet. I believe there is a vaccination for that, or at least one is in the works. Your doctor could advise you better than myself on this one. Again, welcome.
