My Introduction

Hello from Minnesota!

My name is Donna P. and I have several family members who have CMT. I joined

this group to learn more about the disease and become pro-active in medical

knowledge. My father was the first we knew of with

the disease. My twin sister and her child and my older brother and his child

were also diagnosed with it.

My father died at age 56 and my sister died two months ago at age 47, both from

heart problems. My sister had a disecting descending aorta...my dad's death

certificate says heart attack. I've asked three

doctors if this was related to the disease but they don't seem to know what the

disease is let alone give me symtoms of the disease. I was hoping maybe someone

from the group knows the answer.
