Guest guest
Great job Carolyn! JenSubject: mid-week checkin/ taebo ampedTo: "ExercisevideosYahoogroups (DOT) Com" <exercisevideos >, firmies4life Date: Wednesday, October 15, 2008, 9:54 PM hi everyone! finally, i have time to sit at the computer and read emails. everyone on EV has really been chatting... im 250 messages behind there! eek! anyway, i now have time to post my checkin for this week so far: sunday oct 12: no workout, did housework max, prepped ds2's bedroom for painting (my old workout room... wah!) and did office work max (workout for the brain) monday oct 13: started my taebo amped rotation. did 'sculpt express' (49 mins, 291 cals), and a walk (58 mins, 320 cals). grand total of 107 mins and 611 cals... yay! tuesday oct 14: no workout, did shopping max and put primer on walls of ds2's bedroom. how tedious! wed oct 15: did (taebo amped)'fat burn accelerator' (53 mins, 338 cals) and a walk (60 mins, 327 cals). grand total of 113 mins and 665 cals... yay again! also spent 2.5 hours putting primer on bedroom walls (again... still tedious!). so far so good. ive missed a few workouts but have rescheduled them over the rest of this week. so thursday, friday and saturday are big workout days. i also have to get that danged bedroom painted by the end of the week, so that is what i will be doing every evening. then i have to primer and paint ds1's bedroom. i wonder if our (dh and i) bedroom will ever get painted ?!?! probably not :/ ------------ --------- --------- --------- ----- taebo amped: sculpt express: a fun sculpting workout done with the 3 lb bar... billy adds different moves to his usual taebo exercises and he never stops to rest. i was able to keep up and also do most of the crazy double-time reps. the bar, along with alot of reps, really work the shoulders, arms, back and core. lower body gets a few sets of lunges and squats, but not much work at all, really. but that is ok since i walk most days anyway. my shoulders and arms were on fire though! really surprising since the bar is so light, but i was really feeling it during the workout, and the next morning. got a good calorie burn from this workout - even though there is no cardio, it is an endurance workout which raises the heartrate. taebo amped: fat burn accelerator: more of a cardio+sculpt workout. again with the bar, some of billy's different amped moves with the bar (baseball swing, slices, helicopter, etc) and more traditional taebo combos. the upper body and core are stressed again with this workout, but there are some side kicks, front kicks, squat kicks thrown in for the lower body. again my lower body didnt get much out of this workout, but i dont mind because of the walking that i do. more sets of each exercise are done in this workout than in sculpt express and billy never stops to rest. the double-time reps are really crazazy in this one, i had to stay with single-time a couple of times. lots of standing ab work, which is always great. a good calorie burner. i think that these amped workouts are challenging in alot of places. the amplifier bar really increases the fun and the challenge over regular taebo workouts (which i do still luv though of course the energy level of billy and his crew is high in these workouts, and the music is groovy in fat burn accelerator, which is always appreciated. also these amped workouts seem to be designed quite well, and shellie and crew help billy out with ensuring that the sets and sides are even. one time billy told the crew that the set was done, and they ignored him and kept right on going until it really was supposed to be over... LOL as always billy gives an inspirational talk at the end of these workouts. i really love it when the does that, he is such a great guy. but i do wish that he would spend much more time stretching!! one of the few faults that i find with these. if he does stretch he does the legs... what the heck?!?! why not stretch those burning shoulders?!? my shoulders, back and core are really feeling these workouts, and the painting activities, tonight! :*carolyn.
