I have the luxury, this winter, of planning a flower garden just for perfuming.

We are presently building our house on 3/4 of an acre on a south facing hillside

on a small island just north of the San Islands ...which is my blank

canvas.

My intention is to raise some amazing florals for enfleurage and tincture.

Our garden zone here ranges from zone 8b to Zone 10, depending on the area of

the property. So far, I have planned for the following plants: osmanthus, lilac,

hyacinth, heliotrope, jasmine, lotus/waterlily (for the pond. Anyone else have

any other suggestions. Herbs as well maybe.....

The climate here is truly Mediterranean, so I guess any Mediterranean type

plants would fare well.
