Weight Training and Endorphins

Does weight training cause endorphins to be released in the same way

running does?

Is there a big low after eating loads of simple carbs? I just feel

terrible today, I ate a lot of simple carbs this weekend (Sunday) and

I'm trying to figure out what I feel so miserable for. It isn't that

time of month, it isn't due to (what I can tell) anything particular

that's happened lately, I'm just not sure.

I ate some cottage cheese and yogurt for a mid afternoon meal and

afterwards I reached for (and ate) a mouthful of chocolate cake, it

was like instantly my mind felt lighter. I know that's not good,

because food CANNOT be my comfort, and it's not really, but it just

felt so good to do.

I am trying to make sure I don't eat for emotional reasons, but I

wonder if there is an actual physiological thing that goes on when

you eat loads of carbs when your normal eating is fewer carbs. Am I

just in a day long sugar low resulting from Sunday's high?
