Accutane for Acne - Personal Experience

Tammy, yes. First of all I want to make it clear that my daughter does not

have CMT. When she was 16/17 she had a serious acne problem. After all

other efforts for treatment were exhausted, and after much research and

consideration, we put her on Accutane - a 6 month course of treatment. The

results were miraculous. She had virtually NO side effects. We were

concerned about dryness because she is a vocalist and a contact lens wearer.

She is now 20 and her complexion is good. They warn about side effects, but

the bad ones are really rare. Besides, during the course of the treatment,

the patient is monitored very closely and is required to have monthly blood

tests in case certain levels get dangerously high. I'd recommend Accutane

to any parent whose child suffers with this awful problem. Good luck.
