Daughter's surgery was a success

Surgery took two hours. She has a two inch incision on her neck and a drain

tube 1/2 inch below incision. Drain tube comes out Monday. Doctor said it was

a cyst and it was larger on the inside than the ct scan showed. He was able to

remove it in one piece, and he was able to remove all of it which was a concern.

He thought it might be attached to the inside drain of a tonsil that drains into

the throat. Hopefully the biopsy report will be in when we get her drain tube

removed tomorrow. He feels certain all will be okay. She is doing remarkably

well, little discomfort, but not a lot of pain. The worst part of all of this

is cleaning the drain tube every 8 hours. I am a gagger. Thank God big brother

has a strong stomach and has been able to clean the drain tube for me. LOL.

What a wimp I am.
