I've encountered Aspartame exactly once in my life, back when it was first on

the market in the early 1980s. I needed a bit of caffeine to get through a long

work day, and all that was around was Diet Coke. I drank half a can and after

some time had passed, turned to my coworker and said " I feel kinda dizzy. " Next

thing I knew, I had passed out. Coworker drove me to the ER, where they did the

usual round of vitals and found nothing wrong. To this day, it remains a mystery

as to whether or not it was the aspartame, but I have no intention of ever

consuming the stuff again!

MS.

We have so many similarities. Last year after my first potassium

incident I started to ween myself off pepsi and started drinking mt

dew to try and lose weight. I already suffered from dizziness and

after someone brought up aspartame as a possible cause I quit. I

still have some dizziness but not nearly as much. I will never drink

it again either.
