Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Although today was supposed to be Core Synergistics, I didn't sleep well last night (not sure what it up with that, but I tend not to sleep well on the weekends - my guess it is either from sleeping in on Saturday mornings - well as " in " as I can w/ early-bird DD, or it is the wine I usually have on the weekends that I don't have during the week...) Anyway, with the bad sleep I just wasn't up for getting up early to do my workout, so I had to workout when DD was awake and, CS just requires too much concentration to do with DD in the room watching one of her videos and playing/talking to me. So...I did Gin 's Danskin Stability Ball workout (the one from Ross - great buy at $3.99) as my core workout today. I reviewed/commented on it a few weeks ago - but bottom line it is a good stability ball workout - nothing you probably haven't seen before, but Gin instructs it very well which makes you get the most out of it with her form pointers/reminders. I also did T-Tapp Basic Plus as my warm-up. The T-Tapp workout I won for half price arrived and I'd like to get it in tonight - it is T-Tapp Tempo Torso (figure that would be a good core workout for today!) It is only 30 minutes so I have hope I can do it when DD goes to bed. Then, I'm hitting the sack early tonight - I have PlyoX to face tomorrow! I already fell asleep on the couch while DD was playing her computer game. It was a half sleep though as i heard the whole game! We lucked out and didn't get any of the storm, we were supposed to have a lot of ice - but we just had rain and in the afternoon it started to clear up nicely. Glad we missed this one!!!!! Oh, as a note to those " cooks " out there - I do enjoy cooking also, as long as it is not a " chore " - meaning, I can do it when I feel like it not when I have to. The thing I hate most about cooking is the clean up. I also hate my kitchen which is in need of a remodel (this year's project....) The trouble we have at our house with cooking is that DH doesn't like to eat the things I cook (mostly soups, veggie stews, etc.) I never really learned how to cook meat, and that is what he likes to eat - so he cooks that! Take care! Donna ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing. Guest guest
I'm jealous, haven't ever seen anything of Gin's at Ross! I cook a lot, but since I'm a vegan I make and eat a lot of Asian and Lebanese, and Ethiopian food. I'm lucky I live in a vegan friendly city and my boss is taking me to the Blossoming Lotus next week, which is an all vegan restaurant that has awards from Peta (peope for the ethical treatment of animals). This is the same place I went to in Kauai where I had the mung dahl over quinoa! YUM!! When it's on the company dime I try to think big Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile
Guest guest
I could never do the vegan thing - I like my chicken and fish too much. Guest guest
laura, i thought of you today while i was making a quick lunch--vegetarian chile (it was one of the box ones--fantastic foods). quick, easy and tasty! i added some cheese in the bowl and crushed a few tortilla chips on top of it. stacey > > I'm jealous, haven't ever seen anything of Gin's at Ross! > > I cook a lot, but since I'm a vegan I make and eat a lot of Asian and Lebanese, and Ethiopian food.
