Tt is not unusual for a Doctor to prescribe 2 different meds based on what part

of the brain they effect. Do NOT take yourself off of either of which they have

prescribed, although I am surprised the doctor did not inform you that she was

also prescribing the other med. I was on Effexor many years ago, but do not

remember how many mg I was on. The combination might be just what you need.
