I am taking 2 antidepressants. I take Wellbutrin and Celexa. The

combination had provided me with a better result. My doctor says that sometimes

the combination works better than just one type. Ask your doctor.

Thanks Helen!

Let me ask you something else if you know anything about it. I'm on Effexor

(75mg) twice a day and today I got another script for Wellbutrin 300 mg once

a day. I used to take Wellbutrin about 4 years ago and it worked well for me

but I thought I had been taking it too long and started to get immune to it,

but is it a good idea to take 2 antidepressants at the same time?

Effexor seems to work alright, but the Wellbutrin was better. And is it

alright to just stop one and start on the other. I will ask my doctor, but I

haven't been able to get in touch with either one today. If you know

anything about this thank you.

Hi .. Not sure if anybody has replied to your inquiries.

I have been on 2 different anti-depressants (Celexa & Wellbutrin) for over a

year now & have had no problems taking both. As for stopping one & taking the

other on your own.. as with any medication it isn't a good idea. That is what I

have always been told by my doctor. I would never lessen my anti-depressents

(unless my doctor does) as I suffer from severe depression & do not want to end

up feeling that way ever again. Do talk to your doctor or her/his nurse for your

own well being tho.

Thanks so much for the info. I tried to get in touch with my doctor today but

couldn't. I did call the pharmacist, and he really didn't tell me anything I

didn't already know.
