Even without her AFOs she has wide feet and being young, she wants some style too. ;-) You might try the Footsmart catalog for their breadth of styles. However, I think their shipping cost is kind of outrageous, so I have been known to find the same shoe on Zappos.com or Shoebuy.com (Shoebuy has the best prices) and both of these 2 websites have free shipping (both ways in case you have to return the shoe). And thanks, Gretchen, for the link to the Aravon link. I found a pair of loafer-type shoes for Nora on sale for $35! So I ordered them. Nora is doing well at Earlham College. She is now the barn manager for the college's student run horse barn. She isn't riding much, but she does have Howie (the horse) there with her. She had to have her thyroid removed this summer as it had a malignant tumor (papillary thyroid cancer), but she handled the whole thing very well and is recuperating nicely. This cancer has a very low recurrence rate. Of course, as her mom, I wished it could have been me and not her, but .... Keep up the good work, Gretchen.
