Guest guest
Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. Things are good for me, SLOWLY losing weight. My main hang up is that I'm on a mush diet and the majority of what I can eat is heavy carbs. :-( Orthodontist and oral surgeon do not want me chewing anything until after my jaw surgery which is nearly a year away. I've been doing the best I can with mashed potatoes, macaroni and the like but they aren't diet friendly. My jaws have just gotten so bad that the joints are giving out due to my severe TMJ. I have dislocated it several times in the past few months just yawning. Unfortunately I still have to wait for the braces to do their magic before I can have the surgery to reposition my jaws and repair my joints. I discovered a meal replacement shake from Beachbody called Shakeology that I LOVE LOVE LOVE. It's hella expensive,(120 bucks for 30 servings) but it tastes great and is only 140 calories per serving. I've been putting the chocolate version in the blender with a cup of Mootopia high protein low fat chocolate milk, and two tablespoons of Chia seeds and two tablespoons of PB2. It makes a thick delicious shake that stays with me for hours. I drink one shake a day and do some form of exercise 5 days a week. I purchased a meat grinder attachment for my kitchen aid stand mixer and grind up my own hormone free meat and brown it and eat it the best I can without chewing, although I doubt swallowing unchewed meat is good for your digestive tract. I've been eating ground chicken breast, turkey breast and pork tenderloin a LOT. I have eaten so many eggs I could SCREAM. Green smoothies are great but you can only drink so many of those... So, what are some suggestions you guys have for healthy foods that don't require chewing? LOL. I'd really like to get away from mashed potatoes, grits and so many carbs. I did mash up some cooked eggplant and that was good but gave me HORRIBLE gas because I ate the ENTIRE eggplant. DOH! Also, I've noticed that when I'm at the gym on the dreadmill anytime my HR gets above 135 or so I get super dizzy. As some of you know I've already had 3 Transient Ischemic Attacks(Mini Strokes) and was warned to watch myself during cardio as that is what seems to bring them on. I just don't see myself being able to ever lose this weight if I can't get my heart rate into a decent zone. It's so frustrating!! Anyways, just wanted to whine and ask a few questions.. Hope everyone is doing great ! Cat S. Click Click@...
