I " walk funny " also but I don't let it stop me from doing as much as possible, I may do it a little slower but it gets done. I have joined a fitness center and at least three times a week I get on a treadmill and walk....that is actually a little easier for me because I can control the speed and have two sides to hold on to. I do this first as I am not as tired and then ride the elipitical bike or step machine and then go swimming I also work full time and have been able to teach my coworkers much about understanding differences and patience.
