Guest guest
I'm not on a preventive medication, but I did have 5 in vitro fertilizations where I was " hyperstimulated " with a boatload of hormones. Each time, I gained 20 to 30 lbs...water and weight. The last one, I gained 48 lbs...but I lost a lot of weight when the baby came out! I'd say this: You do learn the skill of managing your weight and exercise each time you lose weight...or at least I did. Since I had to do it 5 times in 10 years, I got pretty good at understanding how my body worked, what I had to do and most importantly: I just accepted that this was my " new reality " and this is what I had to do....so I just had to stop fighting and whining about it. (I fight and whine about other stuff!) I think as women we go through many more physical changes than men...periods, pregnancies, menopause. In a bizarre way, I think that this has benefits...we learn how to " work with " our bodies and their changing conditions.
