Guest guest Posted October 18, 2006 Report Share Posted October 18, 2006 Gretchen or anyone else who would like to comment, What is the significance of white matter lesions showing up on an MRI scan for someone with CMT? I had an MRI scan several years ago and the report did mention that I had white matter lesions. BTW, some years ago I questioned my CMT specialist, neurologist about having the Athena testing done (before all the different types had been mapped). He discouraged me from having it done, I think because he felt it would not be a good idea for it to be in my medical/insurance records. I did not have it done, ever.
