It depends if it's high-intensity or not (HIIT). If it is, the intensity is

crazy enough that you shouldn't be able to keep it up more than 15-30

minutes tops before you puke on your shoes. :-)

If you're varying the intensity on an easier scale or include longer rest

periods you can go as long as you want, but if you can go 45 minutes or an

hour, that's more like steady state cardio and less like high-intensity

intervals. Not necessarily a bad thing. Just depends on your personal

preference and how much time you want to spend on the treadmill.
