Guest guest
Hi Jane, I have tinctured Tonka Beans with great success. I did three recharges, using a 1:5 ratio in everclear. It actually compares pretty well to the absolute diluted in alcohol.

Guest guest
hello jane, > Has anyone tinctured tonka beans? Was it successful, how many > recharges? I > have only tinctured vanilla (successful), ambrette (still in process), > and orris > (unsuccessful). Before spending the money, I was hoping for some insight. my supplier, jan from hekserij.nl, told me about tincturing tonka beans, to longer you let it macerate, the better it gets. i think the ratio is 1:5. i am not going to recharge, but instead let it macerate with the same beans over a long time. best, guido.
