Guest guest
Ask Tesco. Is the stuff certified ie does it have a Soil Association mark? If so, you could ask them. Get in touch with Trading Standards and complain. There is some get out clause on the lines of an organic product can have 0.9% non-organic because there is concern that the non-organic will be GM. If it is flavourings then that would be the 0.9%. I think you should complain to Tesco and write a letter to the press and embarrass them xx Sally Sass and Rem wrote: > > Hi people, > > Today I bought various cartons of organic juice from Tesco’s, for > visitors and thankfully not for Tom. Guest guest
Also, any juice from concentrate has had all the goodness knocked out of it. Effectively its pasteurized. Whether it once was organic hardly matters Sally Sass and Rem wrote: > > Hi people, > > Today I bought various cartons of organic juice from Tesco’s, for > visitors and thankfully not for Tom. Guest guest
Well, that's not the way I saw it! I wasn't buying it for Tom. I knew it wasn't as good as non-concentrate but I still thought I was avoiding actually purposefully added chemicals, in amounts large enough that they have to declare it on the packaging. I feel that I have been duped. Also, any juice from concentrate has had all the goodness knocked out of it. Effectively its pasteurized. Guest guest
Sorry Sara I'm not trying to say Tesco were right. Complain to them. The 0.9% thing is hardly known and quite controversial Sally Sass and Rem wrote: > > Well, that's not the way I saw it! I wasn't buying it for Tom. Guest guest
Oh blimey Sally, I can see now it looks like I was shouting at you .. I need a tone of voice or facial expression or something to show I was complaining to you not at you. It did really really annoy and depress me, an unreasonable amount. It’s UK15 or something which is the lowest organic standard, I looked it up. It still shouldn’t excuse them though. I don’t see how this is different to buying sunny delight or one of those little purple bottles or something. I would never buy that stuff so I’m really annoyed that they conned my money out of me. I emailed trading standards and the message came back as undeliverable. I’ll try something else. Anyway, don’t buy it people. I’m never going to shop in Tesco’s again. Guest guest
I've got this thing about concentrate because you can see a posh looking bottle with pictures of trees, flowers and beautiful people all over it, a price three times the pretentionless Tetrabricks -- and when you look at the ingredients list -- it's all every single bit made from concentrate just like the Tetrabricks. Copella Apple Juice passes that test but it's flash pasteurized. Maybe we just have to think of commercial organisations as the enemy -- trying to cut corners and diddle us. I suppose that is what they are there for xx Sally Sass and Rem wrote: > > Oh blimey Sally, I can see now it looks like I was shouting at you .
