I have the BodyBugg and the display unit and can't say enough good things

about them. If you are a member of Costco, you can get a deal on the

armband there, 1 year membership included, and free coaching session. That

might make a difference with the GoFit, although I did not come across that

product in my research. Just had my coaching session yesterday with BB and

it was phenomenal.

The whole time I was setting up my BB and getting used to the software and

exploring it, I kept saying, wow - this stuff is amazing. It became clear

very quickly that software you pay for is above and beyond all the free

resources we get with things like FitDay, Daily Plate, etc. I even use a

ton of other software and web applications for my job that are paid for, and

this BB even exceeds those! I couldn't be more pleased.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my GoWearFit! It inspires me every day to do more! I really

can't say enough good about it!

It tracks everything, even sleep and sleep efficiency. I have to log my food

(obviously) but everything else is a no brainer!

Very much worth the money!

Anyone here using either of these two devices?

What are your experiences with this product? I love all the fitness number

crunching, and think this will be a huge motivator for me.

Currently I'm leaning towards the GoWearFit. Any reason why I shouldn't? Is the

display device absolutely necessary?

Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

Fran,

Are you a member of 24hr fitness? Or does that not matter?

Deb,

I have the Bodybugg as well and everything Fran said is correct. The device

gives you a more accurate count of calories your actually burning, instead

of estimates based averages. It's a bit of a reality check to see that you

are not burning as many calories as your elliptical and treadmill say you

are as! The online software is pretty great and I had the bodybugg for about

a week and then bought the display which I love! The display is not

absolutely necessary for the bodybugg. It's easy enough to upload the device

to the computer so you can check your calorie burn. In my case it's really

motivating to have the numbers right in front of me. I'm now staying more

active to up my burn level every day.

I think the differences between the Bodybugg and GWF are minimal (they are

made by the same company--just marketed differently), except as Fran says,

Costco has a deal on the price of the Bodybugg which includes a 1 year

subscription to the site and coaching session. When I was trying to decide I

did a bit of research online and I believe the food logging is a bit

different between the BB and GWF as well with the BB food logging a better

program. GWF does monitor sleep efficiency while BB just monitors calories

burned while sleeping.

I honestly think you'll be thrilled with either device.

no, not a member of 24HF. They don't even have them where I live. Doesn't

matter.

I received my GWF here at work today, and charged it right up. LOL I could not

wait until I got home. The pictures online made it seem like it was big...or

maybe that was just my own perception, but it is rather small.

I set up my goals online:

calories in = 2210

calories out = 3210

A goal of 1000 calorie deficit. I'm going to wear it for the weekend, and not

workout, just so I can get some baseline numbers, then ...it's on! Believe me,

you don't know how much numbers motivate me!

I'm like a kid with a new toy...oh, wait...it IS a new toy! LOL
