Does anyone know where I can purchase natural isolates? I know Mandy Aftel sells

them on her website, but any other sources? Also, what do you use as your

alcohol base? Vokda? SD Alcohol? Everclear? Can I still sell my products if I

just use everclear? thank you!

I've been wondering the same thing.  I've gotten all of mine on Mandy's website

too.  I know Liberty Natural has some.  In my online travels I swear I saw a

kit of some available, but I can't seem to find it anywhere anymore(I don't

remember the website I saw it on) I've been looking up natural isolates online

looking for that kit, but all I find are blogs discussing them or advertising

classes in their use.  I know alot of the big fragrance and flavor companies

and chemical companies have them, but I think you have to buy in large

quantities.  Also they require you to inquire about pricing and purchasing as

well, which I find a bit daunting.  I wonder if they do samples?   I really

like the ones I've gotten from Aftelier, but after reading those blogs there are

so many more that I'd like to try that Aftelier doesn't have.  I've been really

interested in these lately.

Perfumer's Apprentice carries geraniol, linalool, citral and orange terpenes.

I think that Natural Perfume Academy used to offer an isolate kit but I couldn't

find it on their website.

This sounds wonderful, Nick. There is a real evolution going on

and more are responding to the demand by producing products such

as this. Don't forget to advertise in the Guild Yahoo group on

Tuesday ;-)

PS from Paris, who visited your atelier, placed a very nice

order from me today. It seems he is enamored of natural perfumes

due to you!

Hi Jane:

PA is a company that often carries synthetic materials. They are

a great resource, but ask first, since many of their customers

are perfumers that accept the use of synths. There are synth and

natural versions of isolates.

_________--------------

PA is a " full service " perfume supply house. It has a full selection of

essential oils and absolutes and aromachemicals. The few natural isolates are

listed as natural so there is no confusion, but they very hard to find. I wish

the website was more user friendly that way. But in the true nature of natural

perfumery--is anything easy? Or, cheap..for that matter?
