Hi, I'm Davina and I'm new.

For about a year now I've been really aware of all the nasties in just about

everything we use! Because I started to realise just how much we're surrounded

by them, I've been really consciously trying to reduce the amount of unnatural

products I use.  Unfortunately, it's much easier to do this with things like

cleaning products etc, and I've been finding it really difficult to find good

natural substitutes for the things I put on my body - shampoo, perfume etc.

Which is what worries me most! This is why, when I saw that this group existed,

I was really happy so thanks for letting me join.  Hope I'll be able to learn a

lot here.  As a young woman, naturally perfume is one of the things I can't go

without, so it would be absolutely brilliant if I could find a way to make a

perfume that I love, from all natural products.  I don't unfortunately have much

experience in this field at all, however I do have a pretty good knowledge of

aromatherapy.  I've just only ever used the oils as oils though, either straight

or blended, I've never had any idea how to use them to turn them into something

like a perfume.  That would be amazing.

So if you don't mind here's my first question - how would you make a basic

simple perfume that could even take the form of a wax that you could keep in a

small tin?  Are there recipes (if that's the right word to use?) in the files

here, or are there any good websites?

Thanks again for letting me join.
