Guest guest
After 40 years of working closely with physicians, I can tell you that most of them are more than a little irascible. It's the nature of the beast so please don't take it so personally. Dr. Grim is the real deal and answers all our questions on this board gratis, he only charges if he works one-on-one with your personal physician. Can't say that I've ever gotten a free consultation from a medical specialist, have you? We're lucky to have him here with us. Just my opinion. Subject: Re: Skin issues? To: hyperaldosteronism Date: Saturday, February 12, 2011, 11:10 AM I understand. I just have a hard time with "Dr. Grim" being so rude. It's too bad. This is all new to me and at first I thought it would be helpful to seek answers to fellow PA patients but I have to say I don't need the rudeness. I am not speaking of anyone else except this "Dr. Grim". I think telling people for $500 he will help is rude in itself.
Guest guest
Can you take some time and can you travel to Bethesda, land. You can try to get in on a study being done there. You would have to spent 10 days there. All testing and treatment they would do is free to you. > > > > Subject: Re: Skin issues? > To: hyperaldosteronism > Date: Saturday, February 12, 2011, 11:10 AM > > > I understand. Guest guest
Maybe thats been 40 years of excusing and validating bad behavior. 12 plus years of school. residencies, and decades should have taught something about human behavior even within ourselves! this adage that , " his bedside manner stinks, but he knows his stuff " has no place in medicine. i proffer that if your bedside manner stinks than you dont know your stuff >After 40 years of working closely with physicians, I can tell you that most of them are more than a little irascible. Guest guest
I prefer the brilliant ones who can use their smarts to do the right treatment AND talk nice while doing it. i think no patient should ever HAVE to decide one over the othes. bedside manner i guess needs an ICD9 code. >FYI-I don't consider my role here bedside. That is what i get paid for. > > >OTOH I have seen many with bad bedside who I want to take care of me if I get the problem they are expert in. > >Same for car mechanics, plumbers, computer folks. etc. > > > > > > >> Maybe thats been 40 years of excusing and validating bad behavior. 12 plus years of school. residencies, and decades should have taught something about human behavior even within ourselves! this adage that , " his bedside manner stinks, but he knows his stuff " has no place in medicine. i proffer that if your bedside manner stinks than you dont know your stuff >> >> >> >> >After 40 years of working closely with physicians, I can tell you that most of them are more than a little irascible.
