Guest guest
Hi, I took a rest morning today b/c I'm feeling under the weather with this darned cold and I want to fight it off and get rid of it. I felt pretty crappy last night and during the night, so I though sleeping in would be a good idea - trouble is DD woke up at 5:15 - ugh! I tried to convince her to lay in bed with me, but that lasted only about 10-15 minutes. Oh well. If I feel up to it tonight I may get Back & Biceps done, if not, I'll re-schedule it for tomorrow. Now, on to my musing about p90x - I do think it is a good program and I would like to get some of the workouts at some time, but after doing this rotation, I'm not sure that I like this structure - I don't think I like splitting body parts as they do - it just doesn't work for me. I actually prefer total body workouts, and, at best, if I do a split I prefer it to be more general - such as " upper body " " lower body " and " core " I don't really feel a great need to spend an hour working biceps and back or chest and back only. I feel that I could get a decent overall upper body workout done in an hour that hits it all. I guess I'm just not a " body building " type or something like that. And, it is just personally hard for me to stick to a rotation like this b/c if I have to miss a day I'm always scrambling as to how to " make it up " and " get it done " That said, I really do like many of the workouts in this set and would love to acquire my favorites at some point. I think BeachBody's pricing on individual workouts isn't great though - but maybe I can try the trade boards or e-bay. The ones I'd most like to have are PlyoX, Kenpo, CardioX, Core Synergistics, Legs & Back. I wouldn't mind having the stretch one, or the yoga one (although I never actually did the yoga one - I would give it a try at some point if I got back to more regular yoga practices). I liked the upper body workouts, they all just seemed too specific for me and my rotational needs at this point. If anyone would like to split an P90X order in the future, let me know, we can divide them up! I wonder if the p90X plus set would be better for me? I only skimmed the info on on it - but i wonder if it is divided more into total body workouts than p90x? I'm also curious about the Masters series as that also seems to be more focused on total body workouts or, at least, more general splits. Anyway, that is my rambling for the day! Take care, Donna ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile.
