I would not use the golden Jojoba Oil. It has it ouwn scent and might covet the Rose Oil scent. The white Jojoba is better. I use Neobee M 5 Cos. It is better than any other Vegetable Oils out there. It is 100% natural, clear, odorless a d has no disturbing wax in it. And most importantly, it does not get peroxidized or in other word, it does noy become ranzid. The scent of Rose Oil gets out much, much better. Udo Hi M, You got the rose absolute, not rose otto, I believe. That rose absolute is pricey for a rose absolute, and more expensive than there other rose absolutes. It seems that you are saying that the rose absolute did not blend into the jojoba oil, and that the rose absolute was very viscous rather that liquid. If so, you could have gotten the bottom of the barrel - meaning the last bit of a large drum, where the more solid and waxy parts of the absolute settle to the bottom. If so, (if your absolute was not liquid to begin with), you should let them know and as to return it because it is not like the absolute should be (it is more like a concrete at that point). A 2% dilution is a low dilution - so this attests to the power of the rose absolute. Nice thing is you can always add more carrier oil if it is too strong. Udo suggested Neobee M 5 Cos - a brand name for MCT oil (medium chain trygliceride). He is correct - that this is the premier oil for use as a carrier, for the reasons he mentioned. The easily obtainable and inexpensive version of this which is completely suitable for all but the highest professional use is Fractionated Coconut Oil. It is not in the aromatherapy books (where jojoba is touted as the best carrier), but many believe it to be superior to jojoba in many ways (and it is what we use for our dilutions). Our current jojoba supplier in arizona says the golden jojoba has a longer shelf life than the jojoba clear. It is counter intuitive to me and I was surprised by this. So, I won't say that it is true, rather it was simply related to me by the grower/ manufacturer of clear and golden jojoba... Happy blending, Will Eden Botanicals
