Every diet/fitness/ whatever I'm signed up for has bombarded me with

" vegan-this " or " veg-meal-plan- that " .  Anyhoo, the food is good and natural so

I threw some stuff together in a bowl that tasted pretty good.

Handful sliced almonds

sliced banana

big pinch-ful of raisins

here's the " non-veggie people part "

milk and cottage cheese (I am still afraid to not have protein with whatever I

eat - I am afraid to be hungry.  Maybe I'll get over it some day).

My kid made the gag face but it was oddly yummy.

I have a bag of pecans that I'd like to roast in the oven first before making

" cereal " out of it.  lol

Another one I've wanted to try is a breakfast bowl of blueberries, bananas,

pecans, coconut flakes and a little melted peanut butter stirred together.

You'd obviously have to watch the portions on that one! Sounds good though.

I was also intrigued by blueberries, ground flaxseeds and cinnamon stirred

together. If you want to add protein, you could use that as a topping for

cottage cheese or Greek yogurt.

And don't forget the banana taco. With peanut butter and a higher protein

wrap (or a protein shake on the side), it's fairly BFL friendly - take a low

carb tortilla, spread a line of peanut butter down the middle, put a whole

peeled banana on the peanut butter and add some fresh raspberries or

blueberries. Pick up the sides and eat it like a taco. I have a pic of it on

my What I Eat page - http://skwigg.com/id3.html I added quite a few new

meals this weekend.

Mmmmmm...thanks for ALL those ideas. I'm totally going to try that cottage

cheese " cereal " tomorrow morning!

Anyone know how to make tortillas from scratch that are low carb? I mean, when I

make them, it's just flour-margarine-water. What do you substitute?

Not really " low " low carb but you can grind old fashioned oats into flour and

use that.  I " ve made muffins out of it.  Just pulse it in the blender until it

looks like flour.
