I know that linalool is an important constituent of lavender essential oil. It's also found in many other flowers, and is used in many products including perfume. I don't know how the characteristics of linalool differ when it's used as a single component compared to when it's used as it occurs in an essential oil. I'd like to learn more about that too if others on the site have the info or know where I could look for it. Guest guest
Natural derived Linalool ( through distillation out of Rosewood Oil, Ho Oil or Lavender, not through a chemical proccess for excample Pinen or Methyl Heptenone! ) I concide it as natural and can be used in Natural Perfumery. If you have a chemical synthesis using catalysts like metals, I say it is not natural and therefor can not be used. Since EO's are a mix of Aroma Chemicals or Isolates ( Isolates from fractionated distillation )one can use them to achieve certain effects in natural perfumery. It widens the creativity. And there are many more Isolates available and as a Perfumer one can have a lot of more options. If somebody is in Aromatherapy blends I would just use EO's. Thanks, Udo

Hi Udo, Can you tell me the names of some other isolates from fractionated distillation? Thanks so much, Chris
