Guest guest
My husband knocked me up....that worked for me. lol Seriously though, my dad quit using Vicks cough drops. The last time my husband quit (he started again unfortunately) he used sunflower seeds, the kind that you have to spend time keeping your mouth busy shelling and spitting them out lol - he left shells everywhere!!! in the car, all over the house but it worked. He also used gum. I have 2 boxes of patches that he has failed using twice so I can't say they've been helpful for him yet. Subject: healthy not smoking options? Guest guest
Have you read Allan Carr's book? You can get a used copy cheap through amazon. I know several people it's worked for. Guest guest
Allan Carr's book is awesome! I gave up bout two years ago using it and actually managed to LOSE weight - he makes you realise you don't actually need ANYTHING to replace cigarettes, he takes away your reasons to smoke and with it any niggles for needing *something* to do with your hands/mouth. I found his book " The Easyway for Women to Stop Smoking " also really helpful - it goes into more specific reasons that women tend to smoke, and by reading it you feel a whole lot more relaxed and confident about giving up smoking and therefore not so likely to go wandering into the kitchen looking for something to nibble. I'm a big fan! Good luck with the giving up smoking - it really is one of the best things you can do. After a few months all my workouts got a whole lot easier as it literally felt like i had an extra 50 per cent lung capacity and it really made me feel so much stronger and able to go on for hours. > > Have you read Allan Carr's book?
