Guest guest
Hi: I was just reading the post from Donna/Gretchen regarding white matter lesions. My sister has MS and if I remember correctly, part of the way they diagnosed her (25 years ago) was thru an MRI which showed lesions. Now, I'm being told that my ANA count is positive and when I researched this I found a link from Connective Tissue diseases to AutoImmune disease of which one is MS. I am scheduled to see a rhumatologist on 11/01 and want to have enough info to understand all of this as well as be able to give him an intelligent description of my family history. Really, I'm just scared and confused. My DNA test have never been diagnosed positively for CMT, but due to all my symtoms and the fact that it is rampant (or something is) in my family, that is the diagnosis that we've been given. Gretchen, can you help clear this up for me? Do people with CMT typically have lesions on their brains? If so, this really makes me wonder if my sister has been diagnosed incorrectly all this time. Our family history of CMT goes way back and includes almost every male in my father's family and alot of the females also. If there are any sites I could look at to get a better grasp of things, I would appreciate the info. Thanks,
