Guest guest
I recently read a message that was posted back in April of 2001 (#7237,7238). The message was about progressive self-regulation and it's uses. As an athlete, I believe training and competition is 90% mental and 10% physical which is why this article was even more interesting to me. There are certain athletes (such as Jerry Rice) who aren't blessed with the most superior physical abilities, but are very sound and gifted mentally. With such a mental edge, I feel that it more than makes up for what is lacking in the physical ability department. My goal as an athlete is to be able to effectively use my physical abilities by learning how to control those abilities mentally. Dr. Siff, I would like to know more about progressive self-regulation and how to train this method. [The creator of this method is Dr Valdimir Stefanishin and his web site is at: http://www.proself.com/ Mel Siff] Thank you for all your help.
