OR!

Or could be the fact that there is zilch sun?

Herpes and cold sores

Hi everyone,I am full of cold sores - I've never had them before. We all had a nasty cold awhile back which gave us sores in our noses -looks like mine must have been herpes cold sores. Maybe it was avirulent herpes we all caught at the same time?? Is that possible?(Or maybe it's the herbs I've been taking bringing something out?)Fortunately I've got the cream and am taking lysine and olive leaf soit has stopped spreading now. (Was pretty bad going numb to ears etc)Would you recommend an oral course of valtrex now (or later) oralcyclovir?Best wishes,Sandy

Hi Sandy,

My daughter got a cold sore whilst we were doing the "clostridia/strep" protocol, and she was taking a lot of herbs.... (about 7/7 in total)..She to has never had a cold sore. Are you still taking any gut herbs like, neem, goldenseal, etc... as it maybe a great sign that you are dettoxing. Also she has high lysine on a recent UAA test...

Ah Yes - I read something about cold weather being implicated ...

I've been taking 1000IU vit D for a few days - actually probably

overlaps exactly (but this must be a coincidence?).

Best wishes,

Sandy

Hi ,

That's interesting. Yes I was having a highish dose of Samento and

also quinine and a just few other herbs and thinking about it, I had

just finished a course of antifungals too. Would be good to think it

was a detox reaction :-)

Best wishes,

Sandy

P.S The blood test was taken in November and the big cancer research charity keeps telling everyone that D levels maintain through the winter...bullocks and I don''t even wear sun-blocker. Means that people who do must be REALLY deficient....

Speaking of Vitamin D, just found a new study showing exascerbation in MS occur when D levels are really down. talked to a friend today who has MS. She gets worse MS symptoms when she has a cold.

I am beginning to wonder if the cold virus actually exists.Maybe it's a straight D deficiency. Typical of lack of D is sore muscles and aching bones..Fever pulls calcium out of the bones I know so maybe this is the way the body tries to elevate calcium to transport to vital organs when they are low.

Has anyone seen a picture of the cold virus?? I'll bet the darn thing doesn't even exist.....

Must stop with this research for a while. It's blowing a lot of tubes in my poor brain.....

Forgot to say I was taking zinc and mag as well as vit D - but not

calcium. Maybe I should take a bit.

I'm reading the UV advantage that you and Natasa were talking about

recently - it's amazing stuff!!

Best wishes,

Sandy

Sandy,

With Vitamin D, I have a feeling we might be zeroing in on the last frontier...... It makes a LOT of sense.

HI Sandy

I have justed posted on D3 list.

Started Darryl on D3 and think its working as an antiviral at the

moment.

Similar reactions to when we did a course of aciclovir.

I have found that applying NCD to the sore,

in addition to mega dosing with L-Lysine, helps to speed the recovery

time as well.

I just got one too. Lack of sun. Christmas Stress/ with poor diet. I

can't wait until my new batch of vitamins show up!

Hi Jenna, Vicky and Natasa,

Jenna Thanks - I tried NCD too and thought it helped :-)

Natasa and Vicky - you know when I tried monolaurin early this year I

had to stop very quickly because I felt like I had a cold coming on

every time and couldn't afford to make myself too sick. ... Then a few

weeks back I tried again and was fine - even finished the whole tub and

nothing happened. I wonder if the cat's claw or one of the other herbs

dealt with whatever the monolaurin had been working on but more

gently. (Just guessing really). But I wonder if the vit C is doing

something similar - helping strike up a latent virus??

Must admit I find the viruses and antivirals hard to figure myself.

Several times we have unearthed Eddie's measles virus - well as sure as

we can be - that rash is pretty distinctive - but we suspect he hasn't

actually had the immune response to deal with it. Though it would be

nice to think he gave it a bit of trouble at least ...

Best wishes,

Sandy
