Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I have used PPI's off and on for years (and have recently started taking Omeprazole again which is basically the same as Lansoprazole). I've never had any stomach cramps or GI problems from taking it, on the contrary, it makes me feel much better. The only side effect that I can see is a slight reduction in hunger and some tiredness. You may know this but PPI's are often not sufficient to stop reflux, especially if it's been happening for a while so she could still be having reflux pain even when on the medication. The omeprazole does not stop me entirely from still having pain. I found that I had to up my intake of fibre to keep things moving along though when I am taking a PPI. Have they ever thought of putting her on a motility drug to move the contents of the stomach along? Hope you find out what's happening. Best wishes, Darla Does anybody have any experiance with this drug ?Katy has been prescibed it for Gastric reflux issues. The head and upper body jerks she has had on and off over the years are I feel related to reflux,so I'm keen to treat this, especially after watching the Krigsman DVD.She has been doing very well over the past couple of months, but is now getting upper tummy pain again, and some reflux symptoms,ie throat clearing. Her stools are good.I have also increased her D3 to 2000iu a day, this past 10 days.Wondered if this gastric pain is common when starting Lansoprazole. Many Thanks for any comments ,Sharon .
