That happened to me also. My husband made a lot of money.....we were able to buy anything we wanted, had a huge house, had everything......and how can these attorneys/judges not see that after the divorce they are still going to have that. My divorce when on long enough that I had to let my attorney go and that is when he really let me have it. He's living with the woman he left me for (10 yrs younger) and living very, very well and I got some furniture (which I had to sell eventually) and enough money to put down on my house. If I had known I was going to have to go out on disability I would have put that money aside. I don't know how some of these attorneys/judges sleep at night. B. in

,

I am so sorry all this happened to you, really I am. I got a pension at the divorce and spent it right quick on this house and a car. I knew disability would use what money I had first, so had to get rid of it before I went on disability. Thankfully as rotten as it sounds, disability had and has to pay for the medical since I got approved. It only took me 60 days to get approved. Living in the midwest I put new windows in my mobile, but everything from furniture to clothing had to be bought new as I didn't get anything else in the divorce. The ex still owes me 14,400. which I know I will never see. He is remarried and living in Fla in a 250,000 home.

I am glad he isn't in the picture any more, even though it cost me dearly. He was not a nice person. We were married for 32 yrs. and if he had his way I would not have gotten the pension. I still can't believe he didn't have to pay anything, and got the original house.. But he was willing to pay tons to see me destitute. He finally went on disability himself (mental) just so he wouldn't have to pay anything.

Like you the company of my dogs is basically

Sad for me to say, but I think they are crooked everywhere. And the person with the most money wins. B. in TexasUntil one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains in darknessTo: BeingSick Sent: Tue, November 17, 2009 7:27:20 AMSubject: Re: B

I don't think they have any trouble sleeping at night. In fact I would go as far as to say "pay off?" something I never would have believed in before my divorce. But after almost 3 yrs of watching the court and the judge, I honestly believe pay off fits quite well. All our children were grown and married, so by rights the house should have been sold and equity split, instead he got it all. He quit paying court ordered temp alimony and only got a slap on the wrist did not even have to pay it back as an amount due got to pay a bit at a time, and too bad that I had to sell my personal possessions to live when he quit paying those 4 months, he

didn't have to pay for them at all, even with receipt's.Every time I walked into court I knew that somehow it would be bad for me. I even had a notarized affidavit from my fathers

attorney stating my father had put 16,000 into the purchase of that house and wanted it back.. Tough for him... according to the court. All I know is that here anyway the courts are crooked... F
