Guest guest
Hi there, I feel guilty but I know someone is a swimming coach and triathlete on our group, sorry for forgetting your name! Perhaps you can help me. A post indicated that the kick board was good for us as we can use our feet more easily like flippers. What is the best way to get the most benefits for our muscles from swimming? By letting our feet flap or by flexing them? My feet definitely seem to like the flapping like fins! And my kick is pretty good - they say I do the flutter kick well, I suspect because of what my feet do! I swim all the time but have not really thought about how this works with CMT muscle strengthening. One thing I have noticed though is that recently when I have swum more consistently I have developed interior aching in my hip joint, which I think is related to weakness in my gluteus flexor. Any advice appreciated. Thanks, Donna from London
